北京时间2012年11月7日，四年一次的美国大选终于以奥巴马的成功连任落下帷幕。
14个月以来，这场旷日持久的竞选鏖战，不仅使美国国内的利益相关者深受影响，中国与世界也一样关注。
这是一场世界最发达国家的总统选举，可世界上最大的发展中国家却在候选人之间的政策交锋中频频闪现。
两位总统候选人，都宣称要帮美国人“重夺”被中国制造业“抢走”的工作岗位。他们关于中国的各种论调，尽管表述不一，分寸各异，但似乎有一个共同的逻辑起点：美国眼下的困境，肇因之一是中国。
中美关系是21世纪世界上最重要的双边关系之一，这已成国际关系研究者的共识。作为全球最大的两个经济体、全球最大的发达国家与发展中国家，美国和中国的利益汇合点已明显增多和拓宽，相互依存度大大加深。中国与美国，本应是相互尊重、互利共赢的合作伙伴。但在过去的一年中，中国却成了美国失败政策的“替罪羊”。
尽管许多人都了解，美国大选中，候选人为吸引眼球常常抛出偏激言论，但是对中国话题的炒作，不负责任的抹黑，已经深刻地影响到中国民众对美国领导者的认知。这样的情绪，将怎样影响中美关系的民意基础，值得认真观察与评估。
当过电影明星的里根，曾被认为很“幽默”，爱骑自行车的老布什在北京生活期间的种种“趣闻”，许多中国人至今还能历数??今天，当《环球》杂志记者采访中国的普通民众，请他们评价其心目中的美国总统时，却发现，无论是大学教授、高校学生、退休外交官，还是国企员工、金融业者、淘宝店主，抑或是渔民、工人、农民工，对这个美国符号的印象无一例外地夹杂了抱怨甚至批评。
对于连任的奥巴马，《环球》杂志请20位受访者对其综合表现进行量化的评分。满分为10分，这位美国总统得了6.3分。
这并不是一次严格意义上的样本调查，但其中传递出的信息，仍然具有某种指标意义。这样的评分，其直观的价值在于，再次提醒人们关注这样一个简单的道理：中国人对美国总统的印象，折射出两国关系，又会作用于两国关系。中国民众对美国和美国总统的认知、见解和情绪，会给中美关系带来不可小视的影响。
从这个意义上说，这组报道，是写给中国读者的，也是写给美国总统的。
20个中国人眼中的美国总统
好像说得比做得好

当年我在美国踢女足世界杯的时候，当时的美国总统克林顿来更衣室看望我们，我也算和他有过零距离接触吧。在和美国朋友聊天的时候，他们对克林顿的组织能力、政治魅力有较高的评价。其实我们也知道，当时克林顿来更衣室看望我们，并不是因为他有多喜欢足球这项运动，而是因为当时的中美关系有点紧张，他要借助这样一个场合表达一些善意和友好的态度，所以我说，他挺聪明的。
平时我很少去关注美国总统选举什么的，毕竟太遥远了。一方面是因为我从事体育工作，人家是政治领域，隔行如隔山；另一方面这又是其他国家的政治事件，所以关注不多，只是偶尔在电视上瞟一眼，听一两句而已。
但2008年美国大选的时候，我正好在芝加哥，会在电视里看到他们的竞选广告，会在大街上看到集会。印象中，奥巴马在当地也有许多争议，关于他的政策以及一些政治理念等。他是美国历史上第一个总统，这挺不容易的。
美国总统大选4年一次，美国的民众司空见惯了，中国的老百姓现在也比较熟悉。在我的印象中，那些候选人都是政治家，他们大都读了很好的大学，有良好的教育背景，对社会、公共事务、法律、国际关系或者国际政治都很了解。
其实，像我这样的老百姓，看到美国总统候选人，会觉得他们很专业，有种在看他们表演的感觉，而且觉得他们好像说得比做得好。其实中国普通百姓最关心的是美国的政策对自己的切身利益有没有影响，至于美国总统是怎样的人，关注度倒在其次。
没有包装未必“星光闪闪”

我对美国总统没有太深刻的印象，只知道老布什、克林顿、小布什在任期间发生的一些大事件。我的成长期正值小布什任期，所以我对那段时间内发生的事情知道得更多一些。我不喜欢小布什，甚至很怀疑他为什么会连任。到了奥巴马当选总统那一年，我开始关注他。
我知道，美国总统有着完美的包装与宣传团队。这些包装与宣传，甚至会深入到总统的生活中。我经常在《摄影之友》网站上看到美国历届总统的私人照片，都是些御用摄影师拍摄的作品。如果没有这样的包装与宣传，美国总统们未必会那么“星光闪闪”。
美国式的现实主义和机会主义

总体来看，我觉得美国总统和大选体现了美国式的现实主义和机会主义，但真正的民主体现不足。比如说，无论是总统、候选人还是民众，首先考虑的都是各自的利益和机会，其次才是他们的所谓民主、人权、自由等。
拿小布什来说，他为了自己的利益(支持率、连任等)和美国的利益(能源、经济等)，以民主、自由、人权等为理由，发动了两场战争，破坏了中东地区的稳定局势，他还一直干扰和阻止发展中国家快速发展的脚步。相对于小布什，奥巴马有些积极合作的态度，但是他对中国仍然存在消极的看法，有着消极的举动。
和以前相比，我认为美国总统今后会更加重视经济和技术领域。如果他能解决好他们国家的经济危机，那就是对全世界的大好事；如果他能推进科学技术等领域的合作和交流，那对我们医生来说也是件好事。
总统只是代言人

美国总统跟我最大的联系就是美国印钞票让我的工资又打八折了。新兴经济体受到美国的伤害严重，现在美国这么搞，弄得东亚的投资环境也开始变差了。
一面示好一面打压

按理说，作为美国总统，你把美国管理好就行了，但美国总统总是在世界上到处干预，好像是个世界警察，什么都管，这无形中造成了世界混乱。在我的印象中，近几任美国总统对我们国家表面上说得好听，其实暗地里时不时做不利于我们的事。
比如说钓鱼岛问题吧，中日关系紧张，你说美国没在背后使坏？这对于我们出海打鱼的渔民来说还是有一定影响的。钓鱼岛海域从来都是福建东南沿海渔民的传统渔区，按理说我
