篇一：名人追求梦想不懈努力的故事
钱学森
钱学森[5]同志在20世纪40年代就已经成为和其恩师冯·卡门并驾齐驱的航空航天领域内最为杰出的代表人物之一，成为二十世纪众多学科领域的科学群星中极少数的巨星之一；钱学森同志也是为新中国的成长做出无可估量贡献的老一辈科学家团体之中，影响最大、功勋最为卓著的杰出代表人物，是新中国爱国留学归国人员中最具代表性的国家建设者，是新中国历史上伟大的人民科学家。被誉为“中国航天之父”、“中国导弹之父”、“火箭之王”、“中国自动化控制之父”。中国国务院、中央军委授予“国家杰出贡献科学家”荣誉称号，和人民科学家的荣誉称号，获中共中央、国务院、中央军委颁发的“两弹一星”功勋奖章。
1950年，钱学森同志上港口准备回国时，被美国官员拦住，并将其关进监狱，而当时美国海军次长丹尼·金布尔（Dan Kimbeel）声称：“钱学森无论走到哪里，都抵得上5个师的兵力。我宁可把他击毙，也不能让他回到中国”。自此，钱学森在一个月内瘦了三十斤左右。（受到美国政府迫害）他同时也失去了宝贵的自由。

1.范仲淹“划粥割齑（jīu）”
“先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐”的范仲淹年少求学时，由于家贫，他的生活十分艰苦。每天晚上，他用糙米煮好一盆稀饭，等第二天早晨凝成冻后，用刀划成四块，早上吃二块，晚上再吃二块，这就是“划粥”。没有菜，就切一些腌菜下饭，这就是“断齑”。生活如此艰苦，但他毫无怨言，专心于自己的读书学习。“断齑划粥”的典故即由此而来。
范仲淹的艰苦生活，被当地留守官的儿子知道后，深为同情，便从家里送来了好菜好饭，范仲淹表示感谢，收下了饭菜。几天之后，留守的儿子来看范仲淹之时，看见自己送给他的饭菜还在那里，都已经坏了，大惑不解。范仲淹解释说：“您赠我好饭菜，实在感激不尽，但我平时吃稀粥惯了，并不觉得怎样苦。现在我如果贪食这些东西，吃好的食物惯了，我将来怎么办呢？”留守的儿子回家后，将范仲淹的话如实告诉了他父亲。他父亲夸奖说：“真是一个有志气的孩子，日后必定大有作为呀！”后来范仲淹终于成为宋代著名的文学家、政治家、军事家。
2、莱特兄弟的飞翔之梦
一百多年前，一位穷苦的牧羊人带着两个幼小的儿子替别人放羊为生。
有一天，他们赶着羊来到一个山坡上，一群大雁鸣叫着从他们头顶飞过，并很快消失在远方。牧羊人的小儿子问父亲：“大雁要往哪里飞？”牧羊人说：“它们要去一个温暖的地方，在那里安家，度过寒冷的冬天。”大儿子眨着眼睛羡慕地说：“要是我也能像大雁那样飞起来就好了。”小儿子也说：“要是能做一只会飞的大雁该多好啊！”
牧羊人沉默了一会儿，然后对两个儿子说：“只要你们想，你们也能飞起来。”
两个儿子试了试，都没能飞起来，他们用怀疑的眼神看着父亲，牧羊人说：“让我飞给你们看。”于是他张开双臂，但也没能飞起来。可是，牧羊人肯定地说：“我因为年纪大了才飞不起来，你们还小，只要不断努力，将来就一定能飞起来，去想去的地方。”
两个儿子牢牢记住了父亲的话，并一直努力着，等他们长大——哥哥36岁，弟弟32岁时——他们果然飞起来了，因为他们发明了飞机。这两个人就是美国的莱特兄弟。
3、博格斯的理想
夏洛特黄蜂队的一号球员博格斯从小酷爱篮球，几乎天天都和同伴在篮球场上“斗牛”。当时他的梦想是有一天可以打NBA。
博格斯身高只有1米60厘米，在东方人里也算是矮子，更不用说在即使身材高大的NBA了。
博格斯不仅是现在NBA里最矮的球员，也是NBA表现最杰出，失误最少的后卫之一，不仅控球一流，远投神准，甚至在高个队员面前带球上篮也毫无畏惧。人们每次看到博格斯像一只小黄蜂一样满场飞奔，心里总忍不住赞叹，他的表现不仅安慰了天下身体矮小而又酷爱篮球者的心灵，也鼓舞了平凡人内心的意志。
4、陈涉“燕雀安知鸿鹄之志”——陈涉年轻的时候，曾经给别人做雇工。一次，他停止了耕作，走到田埂上怅惘很久，说道：“如果我们中间将来谁富贵了，可不要忘了别人。”别的雇
工笑着回答说：“你给别人做雇工种地，怎么会富贵呢？”陈涉叹息说：“唉，燕雀哪里能知道鸿鹄的志向呢？”
5、为中华之崛起而读书——周恩来在少年时期离开故乡江苏淮安，来到东关模范学校读书。这一天，魏校长亲自为学生上修身课，题目是“立命”。当时正是中国社会发生剧烈变动的时期。校长讲“立命”，就是给学生讲怎样立志。魏校长讲到精彩处突然停顿下来。问道：诸生为何读书啊？当时，有人回答：“为名利而读书。”，还有人回答：“为做官而读书。”而当时的学生周恩来却响亮地回答：“为中华之崛起而读书！”魏校长赞叹道：“有志者，当效周生啊！” 当时，周恩来年仅12岁。
一句响亮的誓言，一个远大的志向，激励着我们敬爱的总理为之奋斗了一生。他为了民族的独立、国家的振兴鞠躬尽瘁，死而后已，正是由于这种伟大理想的导引。
6、茅以升立志造桥——茅以升是我国建造桥梁的专家. 他小时候, 家住在南京. 离他家不远有条河, 叫秦淮河. 每年端午节, 秦淮河上都要举行龙船比赛. 到了这一天, 两岸人山人海. 河面上的龙船都披红挂绿, 船上岸上锣鼓喧天, 热闹的景像实在让人兴奋. 茅以升跟所有的小伙伴一样, 每年端午节还没到, 就盼望着看龙船比赛了. 可是有一年过端午节, 茅以升病倒了. 小伙伴们都去看龙船比赛,?茅以升一个人躺在床上, 只盼望小伙伴早点儿回来, 把龙船比赛的情景说给他听. 小伙伴们直到傍晚才回来. 茅以升连忙坐起来, 说;"快给我讲讲, 今天的场面有多热闹 ? "小伙伴们低着头, 老半天才说出一句话来;"秦淮河出事了! "" 出了什么事? " 茅以升吃了一惊. " 看热闹的人太多, 把河上的那座桥压塌了, 好多人掉进了河里 ! "听了这个不幸的消息, 茅以升非常难过. 他仿佛看到许多人纷纷落水,?男的女的老的小的, 景像凄惨极了. 病好了, 他一个人跑到秦淮河边, 默默地看着断桥发呆. 他想; 我长大一定要做一个造桥的人, 造的大桥结结实实, 永远不会倒塌 ! 从此以后, 茅以升特别留心各式各样的桥, 平的, 拱的, 木板的, 石头的. 出门的时候, 不管碰上什么样的桥, 他都要上下打量, 仔细观察, 回到家里就把看到的桥画下来. 看书看报的时候, 遇到有关桥的资料, 他都细心收集起来. 天长日久,?他积累了很多造桥的知识. 他勤奋学习, 刻苦钻研, 经过长期的努力, 终于实现了自己的理想, 成为一个建造桥梁的专家.
7、拿破仑的“理想之星”——在拿破仑还是一个单纯的小朋友时，一次偶然的机会中，他的叔叔问拿破仑，将来长大想要做什么？拿破仑在听叔叔这样问他之后，马上滔滔不绝地发表了心中构想已久的伟大抱负。小拿破仑从他立志从军开始，一直说到想带领法国的雄兵，席卷整个欧洲，建立一个前所未有的超级大帝国，并且让自己成为这个大帝国的皇帝。不料，叔叔听完小拿破仑的抱负之后，当场大笑不已，指着小拿破仑的额头，嘲讽道：“空想，你所说的一切全都是空想！想当法国皇帝？那是不可能的！依我看，你长大之后，还是去当一个小说家，反倒更容易实现你的皇帝迷梦——”小拿破仑被叔叔这一阵抢白，非但没有动怒，反而静静地走到窗前，指着远处的天边，认真地问道：“叔叔，你看得到那颗星星吗？”这时还是正午时分，拿破仑的叔叔诧异地走到窗前，茫然地答道：“什么星星？现在是中午，当然看不到啊！孩子，你该不会是疯了吧？”再次面对叔叔的质疑，小拿破仑却是依然镇定而冷静地说道：“就是那颗星星啊！我真的看得到，它依然高挂在天边，不分日夜，一直为了我而闪烁着，那是属于我的希望之星；只要它存在一天，我的梦想就永远不会破灭——”事实上，那颗希望之星从未高悬天际，它一直躲藏在拿破仑的内心深处，凭借内在希望之星的引导，终于使得拿破仑成为真正的法国皇帝。
8、班超投笔从戎——因社会现实而改变
东汉时，有一个叫班超的著名人物。他从小就很有志气，立志要为国家干一番事业。公元62年（汉明帝永平五年），他的哥哥班固奉命到洛阳担任校书郎，他与母亲也随同前往。由于生活艰苦，班超不得不替官府誊抄文件，每天从早忙到晚，所得的报酬只能维持生活。一天，班超一边抄着文件，一边想起自己的抱负，心情非常激动，忍不住猛然把毛笔扔到地上，

The race began. the rabbit could run leaving the turtle far behind. In the middle of the race, the rabbit felt boring to continue the race and took a rest, sleeping deeply. Meanwhile the turtle kept walking, at last passed through the point where the rabbit is sleeping. At last the turtle won the race. The rabbit woke up and find the turtle walking before him, running away hot to reach him but too late. This story tells us "Slow and steady wins the race" or "Don't overestimate your ability".

An old woman had a cat. The cat was very old; she could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old. One day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse. But she could not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat could not bite it.
Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said, "Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years, and I would work for you still, but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old, but remember what good work the old did when they were young."

A mouse once took a bite out of a bull's tail as he lay dozing. The bull jumped up in a rage and, with his head low to the ground, chased the mouse right across the yard. The mouse was too quick for him, however, and slipped easily into a hole in the wall.
The bull charged the wall furiously again and again, but although he bruised his head and chipped his horns, the mouse stayed safely inside his hole. After a time the bull gave up and sank down to rest again.
As soon as the bull was asleep, the little mouse crept to the mouth of the hole, pattered across the yard, bit the bull again -- this time on the nose -- and rushed back to safety. As the bull roared helplessly the mouse squeaked:
"It's not always the big people who come off best. Sometimes the small ones win, you know."
老鼠和公牛

THE LION AND THE MOUSE
Lion was awakened from sleep by a Mouse running over his face. Rising up in anger, he caught him and was about to kill him, when the Mouse piteously
entreated, saying： “If you would only spare my life, I would be sure to repay your kindness.” The Lion laughed and let him go.
It happened shortly after this that the Lion was caught by some hunters, who bound him by strong ropes to the ground. The Mouse, recognizing his roar,
