（一）英语作作文写什么？

初级英语作文一般是考查学生的语言运用能力，写作内容大众化，与学生的生活实际相符，均是发生在学生周围的事情，是学生熟悉的日常生活，比较实用。

（二）英语作文怎样写？

初级英语作文一般以记叙文为主。记叙文是以记叙人物的经历或事件的发生、发展、高潮和结尾的变化过程为主的一种文体。

记叙文的分类

记叙文通常可分为三类：

第一类以写人为主，围绕人物选材，叙述一件事或几件事。 第二类以事件为中心，围绕事件选材，写一个人或多个人。 第三类以写景、状物为主。

应注意的是，在记叙文中写人、写事、写景三者常常是交织在一起。写人离不开写事，写事离不开写人，写景时也常涉及人和事，所以三者不可截然分开，只是各有侧重。

记叙文写作方法

（1）明确五个“w”和一个“H”

要写好记叙文，首先必须确定写些什么，然后懂得如何收集，选取素材，我们可借用英语写作中经常用到的五个“W”和一个“H”概念。即What（什么事），who （什么人），when（什么时候），where（什么地点），why（什么原因），how（怎么样）来构思和安排材料。

（2）确定以第几人称展开记叙

英语记叙一般是以第一人称或第三人称的角度来叙述的。

用第一人称叙述的是由叙述者亲眼所见，亲耳所闻的经历。它的优点在于能把故事的情节通过“我来转达给读者，使人读后感到真实可信，如身临其境。用第三人称叙述，优点在于叙述者不受“我”活动范围以内的人和事物的限制，而是通过作者与读者之外的第三者，直接把在故事中的情节展现在读者面前，文章的客观性强。

（3）确定好动词的时态

在英语记叙文中，动词出现频率最高，且富于变化。英语记叙文中用得最多的是动词的过去时，这是英语记叙文区别于汉语记叙文的关键之处。英语写作的优美之处就在于这些动词时态的变化，正是这一点才使得所记、所叙有鲜活的动态感、鲜明的层次感和立体感。

（4）确定好叙述的顺序

记叙一件事要有一定的顺序。无论是顺叙、倒叙还是插叙，都要让读者能弄清事情的来龙去脉。

1）顺叙：按事情发展的顺序或时间顺序进行叙述。

2）倒叙：把事情的结局或某个突出的片段提到前面叙述，然后再按照事情的顺序叙述下去。

3）插叙：在叙述过程中，由于某种需要，暂时把叙述的线索中断一下，插入有关的另叙述。一方面叙述事情，一方面对这件事情加以分析或评论。

其中顺叙最容易操作，较容易给读者提供有关事情的空间和时间

线索。但这种方法也容易使文章显得平铺直叙，读起来平淡乏味。倒叙、插叙、补叙等叙述方法能有效地提高文章的结构效果，让所叙之事跌宕起伏，使读者在阅读时思维产生较大的跳跃，从而为文章所吸引，深入其中，但这些方法如果使用不当，则容易弄巧成拙，使文章结构散乱，头绪不清，让读者不知所云。

记叙文的特征

（1）主题明确

尽管初级英语记叙文简单，但其中心思想依然是必不可少的。记叙文是作者通过人物或事件的捕述要清楚地告诉读者自己赞成什么，反对什么；褒奖什么，批评什么；热爱什么，憎恨什么，一切都要清清楚楚。同学们应学会充分掌握自己的写作材料和确立正确思想，恰如其分地对待和运用所给材料，准确运用所学词汇来表达自己所要表达的意思。

（2）句式多样

在进行英语写作时应避免全部使用简单的形式，这种单一的语言形式给人一种沉闷的感觉，同时又给人留下作者的词汇贫乏、句式结构单调的不好印象。所以，任何一位写作者都要经常运用自己的英语知识和语言结构，用不同形式、从不同角度来表达文章（短文）的中心思想和主旨，这正是引人入胜的地方。

当然，还要注意英汉的差别及习惯。如多个形容词描述一个物体时，一般情况下，止确的顺序是先大小、形状，再颜色，有冠词的话，将冠词放到最前面。如：a pair of big black eyes.
