Teaching Procedures:

Step 1. Warming- up

1.Greetings.

2.Free Talk.

Step 2. Revision and Presentation

1. Play a guessing game. (Review some animals and describe them)

2. Ask and answer about the animals.

eg.T: What’s this?(Show a picture of a panda, and cover some parts of it.) Ss: It’s a panda. It’s fat.

T: What are they? They are?

Ss: They are pandas. They are fat.

(dogs---cute; elephants---big; cats---small; snakes---long; bears---strong)

3. Practice asking and answering in groups.

4.Show the task: Today, we’ll talk about the animals. And let’s see who can be the best friend with the animals.

Step 3. Look, listen and find

1. Look at some pictures and say the words:

(Put them on the blackboard and teach the new word “bamboo”)

2. Play a game: Quick Response

Draw a hand near the words “ sun, water, fish”, draw a foot near another three words “ winter, children, bamboo” ,then listen, do and say the words loudly.

eg. T: Sun. Ss: (Clap hands and say) Sun.

T: Bamboo. Ss: (Stamp feet and say) Bamboo.

(设计意图:把与图中动物相关的单词进行复习教学,并通过“快速反应”的游戏巩固单词,活跃气氛。同时为下面介绍动物的习性做好了衔接。)

3.First practice with the whole class, then hold a competition among groups.

4. Listen to the tape, and help these pictures to find their corresponding friends.( Ask the students to find the answers.)

(设计意图:听录音找对应的图片及听录音跟读,能提高学生的听力和培养正确的语音语调,并能帮助学生养成良好的学习英语的习惯。)

5.Listen again, and follow the tape. Then write down six sentences on the blackboard.( Animals are showing by pictures.)

6. Practice the six sentences in different ways.

Step 4. Practice and Finish the task

1. Ask and answer:

eg. T: They love the sun. What are they? Ss: They are snakes.

2. Practice in pairs.

3. Play a riddle game:

Give every group an envelope which has some word cards in it. Then ask them to make the words into a complete sentence with their teammates, try to get the answers of these riddles (some kinds of animals) Talk about the animals you guess as more as you can.

4. Show time:Ask the students to make sentences and talk about the animals facts as more as they can.

本课的教学内容为《小学新标准英语》第七册第七模块第2单元“Pandas love bamboo”。教学目的是“让学生学会使用一般现在时谈论动物及它们的习性”。为了在课堂教学中激发学生学习英语的兴趣,我创设一定的情景,培养学生听,读,说,理解和运用英语的能力;为了让学生在本课学习中能更灵活自如地表达对动物习性及各种特征的了解,我还设计了各种不同的游戏和句型分解练习,让学生在一系列轻松有趣的活动中,感受英语,享受英语,并很好地掌握语言知识。“谈论你所喜欢的动物” 这一任务的设计更是激发了学生的学习热情,满足了他们的表现欲望,在体验和合作中增强了英语学习的信心。

在本课教学中,我根据学生的年龄特点和英语掌握情况,设计了一些活动,取得了较好的成效。

1、在热身和复习环节中,我运用自制的重叠动物卡片,复习了动物的单词及它们的单复数,并呈现了“What are they?----They are elephants. They are big.” 句型,通过小组问答,师生对话,俩俩对话等方式,帮助学生回忆并巩固已学知识。实践证明,这样的复

习有效地促进了学生理解学习本课的效率,并提高了每位学生的自信心,特别是为接下来的学习起到了很好的推动作用。

2、英语单词的学习往往是枯燥乏味,却也最重要的内容,为了让学生们能充满乐趣地学习,在本课的单词教学中,我采用了个人、小组、全班及“回音壁”游戏,有效地提高了学生的学习热情,单词也得到了很好地掌握。

3、小学英语教学忌直译法,因此在区分“like”和“love”时,我使用了一个笑脸来表示“like”(喜欢),而使用两个笑脸来表示“love”(喜爱)。这种形象的图片示意法得到了学生的接受,加深了他们对这两个动词的印象,也帮助学生很好地理解和区分了它们。

4、在完成任务环节,为了增加学生的参与热情,我把全班分成了八个小组,并为每个小组设计了一道谜语,学生们必须通过小组合作的方式把零散的单词卡片拼成一句完成的话,并根据句子的意思猜出它所表示的一种动物。同时用英语谈论他们了解的有关这种动物的特征及习性。课堂上,每个小组都不甘示弱,积极准备并展示了自己小组的讨论结果,任务基本完成。

当然在本课教学中,也存在着一些不足和遗憾之处,引发我的思考。

1、本课的教学目的是让学生学会运用一般现在时描述动物及它们的习性。在教学中,我先带领大家复习了一些动物及它们的形体特征,接着由简入繁,循序渐进地帮助学生了解动物。然而在教学中我忘了对句中一些单词的使用做必要的说明,如“the”、“play with”等,这样或许会对学生以后碰到类似情况时的判断与正确运用造成一定的影响,我会在下一节课中给予适当的补充说明。

2、在教学本课重点句型“(Animals)love/ like/ sleep/ play with...”中,我设计了“foot and hand”游戏、听音找图、听音跟读等方式进行操练,然而由于操练的学生面不够广,在后来的个人展示环节中,学生参与表演的数量有些偏少。在以后的教学中,我一定要多设计一些活动,让更多的学生开口说英语,让学生们在展示交流中真正爱上英语。

3、书写是小学阶段必须掌握的一项基本功,因此为了让每位学生都能写出规范的英语,我常常在课堂上为学生安排抄写练习,方便做当堂指导。然而在本堂课中由于教学时间没控制好,原计划在课堂上进行的重点句型抄写只能被移作家庭作业。相信如果能在前面的教学环节中再安排得紧凑一些,整堂课的效果会更令人满意。

总之,在每堂课的教学设计中,我都始终坚持小学英语教学的八字方针“听说领先,读写跟上”,在课堂上让学生多听、多说、多读、多演,既引入小组竞赛,又提倡个人发挥。学生在我设计的各种生动有趣的活动中,不知不觉地掌握课本知识,并在活动中树立信心,体验成功。当然,如果能让学生在课上和课后都能创造性地拓展语言知识,发挥语言功能,那小学英语教学一定能焕发出它真正的魅力。

教学目标:

通过本模块的学习,学生能用英语向他人描述某些动物的生活习性,以及能向他人询问动物的生活习性。能将语言内容转化为实际交际。

c、情感目标:

1、通过动物单词、句型的学习以及情景教学,激发学生爱护动物,热爱大自然,热爱生活的美好情感。鼓励学生通过各种途径了解更多动物的生活习性。

2、培养学生对英语学习的兴趣。培养学生大胆开口、积极合作、主动学习,参与语言交际的能力和团结合作能力。

教学重、难点:

在教学中,我采用“真实运用任务教学法”、“活动性教学法”和“创设情景教学法”来完成教学任务。借助实物情景,利用小道具,进行小组对话,全班问答。借助动作、手势加以解释,帮助学生对句子意思有更形象的理解。为充分激发学生的学习兴趣,我为本单元设计的任务是:描述你最喜欢的动物。

教学过程:

三、Presentation

1、 Listen to the tape carefully,then tell me how many animals can you hear?What are

they?

(课文整体呈现,为学生提供使用语言的环境。)

2、Listen to the tape again,underline the new words and discuss them in groups,try to understand its meaning。

(给学生提出要求,他们会有目的的去听,去听他们不认识的单词的发音,然后小组合作,解决问题,会培养学生的自主学习能力和团结协作能力)

1.待学生说到单词bamboo时,教师问:What kind of animal love bamboo?

教师通过肢体语言等提示学生说出panda. 接着出示课件图引出Pandas love

bamboo.并授读。接着出示该句单词卡片贴到黑板,让学生由单个到全体进行操

练该句子。

2.接着出示课件图cats, 师问生:What are they? 待生答cats后,师提

示生答:They are cats. 师再问: What do they like? Guess, please! 提示

生答fish 从而引出句子Cats like fish.接着出示该句子卡片贴上黑板并授读.

3.同法引出句子Elephants like water, Snakes love the sun.并操练。

4.待出示课件图bears后,师问:What are they?师提示生答They are bears.

接着再出示另一张熊冬眠的图片,师说:Look at this picture,what is the

bear doing?引导生答sleeping,从而引出句子Bears sleep in the winter.

并操练. 同上方法引出句子Dogs play with children.

5.Say a chant.为更好地加深巩固学生所学的知识,把课文句子编成a

chant。如下Pandas, pandas. Pandas love bamboo.

Cats, cats. Cats like fish.

Snakes, snakes. Snakes love the sun

Elephants, Elephants. Elephants like water.

Dogs, dogs. Dogs play with children.

Bears, bears. Bears sleep in the winter.

Step 3 学习课文

1.放录音听课堂活动一,边听边指.

2.再放录音,学生跟读.

3.操练六个句子。

生看黑板上的卡片齐读、单个读这六个句子 :Pandas love bamboo. Cats

like fish. Elephants like water. Snakes love the sun. Bears sleep in the

winter. Dogs play with children.

设计意图:加强及巩固学生对句子的掌握程度。具体如下:教师边手持动物

图片边说:pandas,pandas,让生快速说出Pandas love bamboo.同样方法说出

六个句子。

4. Play a game

guess! 教师加重语气接着说:They like fish. What are they? 引导生猜出

They are cats.同样方法再引出They are pandas.让生两人进行猜谜问答,最

后生生两人展现猜谜问答。

设计意图:小学生好奇、好玩、好动、好表现、好表扬等心理特点,同时对

新奇的事物非常感兴趣。高年级学生也具备了一定的合作能力和参与意识,在

一定的情境中,学生能够积极的参与、大胆表达、勇于合作,展现出良好的学

习氛围。

Ask the students to say the names of some animals.

Write them up on the board but miss out some letters.

Example: T: say the name of an animal!

2.Look, listen and find.

Ask the student to close their books.

Tell them to listen to the recording and write down the name of the animals they can hear in the recording. After that, ask the students to open their student’s books and read story.

If you want to do extra practice with the vocabulary, you can play this game after doing exercise2. Write the following animals on the board. snake elephant panda dog cat bear

Tell the students to choose one animal and draw it, they don’t need to colour it and the picture can be very simple.
