Some people think should encourage people to own private cars. Because a car allows a person to move around freely. It is easy to travel in bad weather. However, some people against it. In their opinion, with the increase of private cars, the roads are becoming more and more crowd. The car gas is not good for our health.

In my opinion, we should control the number of the private cars. We should develop the public transport. We can travel by bus.

In my opinion, the cars have brought people convenience while pollution, the air condition become more and more terrible along with the number of cars increasing. Based on this point, I reckoned that we’d better walk or ride a bike instead of driving a car to reduce the number of the cars as well as improve the air condition.

Some experts believe that the ownership rate of private cars will continue increasing. Nowadays, private cars have become increasingly popular as a mode of transportation. Because of China's rapid economic growth and rising incomes of residents, more and more people can afford to buy a private car. It is true that private cars can bring much convenience to people’s daily life. People can go anywhere they want to go at any time and will not worry about missing the bus or the subway any more. However, the overly rapid growth of private car ownership has increased urban traffic pressure, leading to heavy traffic jam. What’s more, too many cars will cause serious air pollution, which will damage the environment and is harmful to people’ health.

In my opinion, the increment of private cars in China is a symbol of the development of economy of China. It also means that a family’s living condition is becoming better. People can get the benefits from private cars. But too many cars may also have a bad effect on people’s daily life. People may have to say

goodbye to the fresh air. And they may find that they have to spend much time in the traffic jam. Today living a low carbon life is popular all over the world, so the number of the private car must be limited in time. Both the government and the public ought to make a contribution to the achievement.

My Views on Private Cars

Private cars，in most developed countries，used to be the counterpart of bicycles in China. Nevertheless，with the development of economics as well as the improving life standard, more and more people possess private cars in China. Yet opinions of the development of a private car vary from person to person.

Some claim that there are many advantages in possessing a car. It gives a much greater degree of comfort and mobility. The owner of a car no longer has to rely on public transport, and hence no irritation caused by waiting for buses or taxies. With a car he can go wherever he likes at any time so that he can enjoy his leisure to the full by making trips to the country to seaside on the weekends, rather than being confined to his immediate neighborhood. However, others strongly object to developing private cars. They maintain that as cars in growing numbers are produced and run in the street, a large amount of poisonous gas will be given off, polluting the atmosphere and causing actual harm to the health of people. In fact, private cars contribute to traffic congestion so greatly that the advantages gained in comfort and freedom is often cancelled out by the frustration caused by traffic jam. In my personal opinion, private cars have many shortcomings and I sincerely believe that private c

ars should be discouraged in China.

There are sound reasons for the limitation of private cars in China. First，it is self evident that the automobile contributes much to air pollution. In China，especially in large cities whose residents are more likely to buy private cars，the pollution of the air is already very serious. More private cars will inevitably aggravate the present situation. Second，private cars can be a formidable threat to the traffic. To tell the truth，today many people can afford a car，if a large number of private cars rush onto the streets，the already dense traffic will suffer more. Last but not the least，the automobile consumes energy. We always proudly claim our country is rich in natural resources. But in the mean time，we need to remember we also have a large population. We do have rich resources of energy，but speaking of energy，we can not smile with ease.

So if I was given the chance to choose, I would prefer the public transportation to private cars. Public transportation can obviously help to lessen the air pollution and the traffic jams, and we could have a short relax on a bus or subway before starting a new day's work. All in all, in my personal point of view, private cars should be discouraged in China, and we can develop the public transportation to take the place of private cars. I believe in this way, most of the pollution and environmental problems will be easily solved; and I believe in one day, our living conditions will become better and better!
