3. The new term is coming

E very morning I will read aloud English at least 30 minutes, and try to recite a 100- word paragraph.

My school day

Hi, I’m xxx. I'm 14 years old and I study in Laoshan School. My school is not very big. Every morning I get up at seven and have breakfast. And then I go to school at half past seven. At eight twenty, we begin our morning reading. Lessons begin at nine o’clock. We have four lessons in the morning and Chinese is my favourite lesson. We usually have 10 minute's break between two lessons and at about 12:30 we finish our morning lessons. I have lunch at school at twelve thirty, too. In the afternoon lessons start at half past one and finish at four thirty. I play games after school with my friends and then go home at five. In the evening I do my homework and then watch TV. At ten o’clock I go to bed. It’s really a busy day but I like it.

Eating taste

People in different parts of our country have very different ideas about what is good to eat. In our country, for example, people from the south like to eat rice, however, people living in the north prefer bread or noodles. The people of Hunan or Sichuan enjoy hot food. Even if people live in the same part of the country, their tastes may be very

Therefore, it is not easy for restaurants to satisfy the needs of all the customers. Be brave to the earthquake

Everyone has some unforgettable experiences. An earthquake

happened in Sichuan Province on Monday, May 12, 2008. It is the most

dangerous earthquake in Chinese history. Many people were killed. A large number of houses fell down. I was shocked. When I see theses picture on TV, my eyes were filled with tears.

Now, more and more people and volunteers go to disaster area to help people who are in trouble. I was moved. I wanted to do something for people in the disaster areas, too.
