篇一:in school和at school的区别

study at the school.

There are hundreds of students in the school.

第一个强调是在学校里学习。

第二个是强调在学校里有多少学生。

参考书里说的挺好的, at school是说身处的位置,也就是在学校里; in school是一种状态,也就是在上学或求学的意思。

简单回答,希望对你有所帮助

at school 与in school的意思是一样的,用法区别也不大,但是如果是在完型填空或者单选的时候你发现前面有一个相对修饰school的(非限制性定语从句中较常见)which,大多数情况用in school

考点: in which的用法及联系上下文选介词

at school=in school在学校(求学)

in the school 在学校(求学,工作,找人,也可能是找人)

in school 和 at school 有区别吗,希望有个详细的解答,谢谢老师

答:Ⅰ. at school表示“在学校、在上学”相对于在家里或在校外。如:

My son is at school now. He is not at home or somewhere else. 我儿子现在在学校,他不在家,也不在别的地方。

When my brother was at school, he studied very hard. 在学校时,我兄弟学习很用功。 Ⅱ. in school “在求学、在上学”相对于有工作。如:

My daughter still in school She doesn’t work.。 我女儿还在上学,她不在工作。

[注]:①和②用at school 强调所在场所或时间。③中的in school 则强调主语的身份是学生。因此,in school. 和 at school的着重点不一样,通常不互换使用。

篇二:school life in the UK

school life in the UK

Going to a British high school for one year was a very enjoyable and experience for me .I was very happy with the school hours in Britain because school starts around 9 a.m.and ends about 3.30 p.m.This means I could get up an hour later than usual ,as schools in China begin before 8 a.m.

On the first day ,all of the new students attended an assembly in the school hall .I sat next to a girl whose name was Diana .We soon became best friends. During the assembly ,the headmaster told us about the rules of the school . He also told us that the best way to earn respect was to devote ourselves to study and achieve high grades . This sounded like my school in China .

I had many teachers in the past year . Mr Heywood , my class teacher , was very helpful .My favourite teacher was Miss Burke--I loved the lessons that she gave in English Literature .In our class there were 28 students .This is about the average size for British schools . We had to move to different classrooms for different classses. We also had different students in some classes , so it was a struggle for me to remember all the faces and names.

I found that the homework was not as heavy as what I used to get in my old school . However , it was a bit challenging for me at first , because all the homework was in English . I felt lucky , as all my

teachers gave me much enjoyment and I enjoyed all my subjects: English , History , English Literature, Computer Science , Maths , Science , PE ,Art , Cooking and French.

My English improved a lot , as I used English every day and spent an hour each day reading English books in the library . I usually went to the Computer Club during the lunch break , so I could send e-mails to my family and friends back home for free. I also had an extra French class on Tuesday evenings .Cooking was really fun as I learnt how to buy ,prepare and cook food .At the end of term we held a class party and we all had to cook something .I was glad that all my classmates were fond of the cake that I made .

Students at that school have to study Maths , English and Science , but can stop studying some subjects if they do not llike them , for example , History and French . They can choose other subjects like Art and Computer Science, or languages such as Spanish and German. Though it did not look very beautiful when it was finished , I still liked it very much .

I missed Chinese food a lot at lunch .British food is very different . British people like eating dessert at the end ot their main meal . After lunch , we usually played on the school field . Sometimes I played football with the boys . Sometimes I just relaxed under a tree or sat on the grass.

I was very lucky to experience this different way of life .I look back on my time in the UK with satisfaction , and I really hope to go back and study in Manchester again .

Reading strategies: skimming and scanning

We skim a text when we want to get a general idea of what it is about. We look at the titles and headlines, the first and last sentences of paragraphs and the first and last paragraphs as well as pictures and charts to guess what the text is about.

When we want to find certain information in a text quickly, we scan the text for key words and phrases dates, numbers, etc. We do not need to read the whole text word by word.

T: Now let’s skim the text quickly and answer these questions. Hand up when you get the answers.

(T show the questions on the screen.Individual activity. )

篇四:牛津模块1unit1 school life in the uk说课稿

School life in the UK

Good morning , judges,It’s my great honor to be here sharing my lesson with you. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from four parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the analysis of the ss, the teaching methods and the teaching procedure. First let me talk about the teaching material

The selected teaching material is from the Reading section of Module1 unit of Advance with English. The article is from a school magazine written by an exchange student. After studying in the Uk, she gave us a brief but clear description about what school life in the Uk is like from her own experience. In a word, the passage covers almost every aspect of school life in the UK. After the students read this passage, they will have a general understanding of high school life from another culture.

As we all know, reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning, the input has great effect on output, such as speaking and writing. Therefore, this lesson plays an important role in this unit.

According to the new standard curriculum and syllabus, after studying the teaching material, I think the teaching aims are the following.(根据新课标和教学法)

1) Knowledge objects

A. The ss can master the usage of the important words and expressions.

B. The ss can know the attributive clauses.

C. The ss can understand the content of the lesson.

2) Ability objects

A. To develop the ss’ abilities of reading.

B. To teach ss reading strategies, including skimming and scanning.

3) Emotion or moral objects

A. To broaden ss’s view and help ss know the differences between the school life in the UK and in the China.

Now let’s come to the important points and difficulties.

1. To help the students to learn about the school life in the UK and get

them to talk about the differences in the school life between the UK and

China.

2. To help the students master the new words and expressions in this period.

Next, I want to talk about the students. This is the first reading lesson for the students, maybe they never read an article for so long. Since they have been studying for many years, the ss have known something about school life in China, while they may know a little about the school life in the UK. They must be interested in learning the differences. As for the senior one ss, they have a certain ability to read but they are lack of vocabulary. Besides, they don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate

with others. Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes

To solve these problems, I’ll apply the following teaching methods in my teaching

1.Question-and-answer activity teaching method Lead ss to think and find the

answers by their own.

2.Free discussion method Give ss chances to discuss and express

3.“Communicative” Approach(交际教学法). Use English in the class as much as possible

4.“Task-based” language teaching (任务教学法). Offer the Ss an opportunity to complete the tasks in which Ss use language to achieve a specific outcome.

At the same time, I’ll make use of the modern electricity teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means, it can develop the Ss creativity in learning English.

1. Basic learning strategy

The Ss can get the meaning of words and phrases.

2. Practice strategy

Practice can help the Ss get the general idea and have a better understanding of the language.

3.Communication strategy

Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners

Let the Ss pass “Observation- Imitation- Practice” strategy to study language. Next part, teaching procedure

Step 1 lead in

Ask the students to discuss some parts of high school life in the UK

based on what they learned in Welcome to the unit. Let ss work in groups. Choose two students to answer.

Then I will say: Do you want to know more about school life in the

Uk?Today we are going to read a passage by Wei Hua, who once studied in the UK. She will give us some detailed information about the school life in the UK. Step 2. Reading strategies

First of all, the students will get the idea of what skimming and scanning are about. To understand this, the students can go through the reading strategy on page three.

Step3: Fast reading for general ideas

Play the tape of the play and ask the Ss to listen to it. Use the skimming and scanning strategies to go through the passage as quickly as possible and try to find answers to the three questions in Part A.

1.How long did Wei Hua stay in Britain? (For one year )

2.What was the name of Wei Hua’s Class teacher? (Mr Heywood)

3.What did Wei Hua make in her Woodwork class? (A small table)

Ask ss to check answers.

Step4: Reading for details

1. Read the passage again and do some true or false exercises in C1 individually and If it is false, please try to correct it. Questions in Part C1 are to check ss’s ability to read and locate specific information.

2.go through the questions in C2 so that they know what to find out. Statements in Part C2 serve as a strengthening activity for ss’s comprehension of this passage. (First . Give them a chance to discuss with their partners if they want)

Step 4. Group work: what’s the similarity and difference between the schools in

Step 4 Summary and Homework

T: Today we’ve learned a text about Wei Hua’s experience in the UK. First we learned some reading strategies: skimming and scanning. Master these and put them into use in future reading.
