雅思写作小作文线状图和饼状图经常会出现增长几倍或者是原来几倍的情况。很多人对倍数的表达并不熟悉,尤其是double triple作动词用法不熟悉。在表达增长我们会使用increase, rise, go up这类动词,但是如果作文中恰好出现倍数关系,该如何表达呢?

如:

过去十年,核能所占的比例已经由之前的5%增长到现在的10%。

Over the past decade, the percentage of nuclear power increased by 5% to 10%. 或者用double

雅思小作文倍数

led(此时用作动词) its percentage from 5% to 10%. 这样可以增加句子的灵活度,也显示自己的语法范畴宽泛。

再比如:

农业用水由1900年的500km3 增长至现在2000km3.

Water used in agriculture is 4 times as much as that in 1900(500km3). Water usage in agriculture is 3 times more than that in 1900 (500km3). Agriculture quadrupled its usage from 500km3 in 1900 to 2000km3 at present.

尤其当作文中表示增长的词(increase, rise,go up )已经使用过,而且前后恰好对比的倍数关系的时候,用double triple 或者quadruple就显得比较灵活,而且表达准确,更能为自己作文加分。

①因为趋势是线形图的精髓,因此第一步是描述趋势
