Do you think that it is good to be famous? What are the pros and cons of such a life?

Is being famous really good? In the modern society, people may desire to be fame and yearn for glory, wealth, and power that accompany fame. But have we ever thought whether being famous is really good for us?

To be honest, being a notable person has many excellent advantages. On one hand, celebrities are usually very rich so they have easier life than other people. They live in comfortable houses maintained by servants. They do not have to worry about paying bills, can afford the best clothes and drive the latest models of fast cars.On the other hand, famous persons can have many supporters and fans. Many fans send letters to express how they admire them. They stand for their favorite persons, even the celebrities have ever done something wrong. What 's more,a notable person may have much more influence on others and their voices can be heard more easily. All in all, celebrities can own fame, glory, wealth and will be an ideal model for everyone.

However, being famous also has its negative side and, sometimes, it may be destructive. The biggest problem is that they'll lose freedom.Being famous always means being known to most people. So they can't go shopping, walking in the park ,even they can't go outside without others' help and protect.Another important trouble is that famous people have no privacy. Paparazzi try to photograph them all the time.People stop them in the street, asking for an autograph.Fame exposes everything of one person to the public. What he does and what he says will always be the topics chatted about. What's worse,to singers or actors, they have to meet the public expectations and fit in the public image. They can't be what they want to be. Perhaps that is why someone says that fame is a heavy burden.

As far as I'm concerned, fame may be nice but not an easy thing to live with. However,it does not matter whether I'm famous or not.I think , just to do what I want is the happiest thing.

That's all.thank you.

Cyber Fame VS Traditional Fame

The recent fifteen years witness astonishing and enormous changes of people’ s life brought by the wide application of the Internet. It is said that the Internet is not so much to change people’ s behaviors as to change their ways of thinking. The flooding trend to seek overnight fame via the Internet conspicuously typifies this motion.

Conventionally, people who long for becoming known may have a certain degree of patience due to the unbearable period of waiting. The range of their reputations gained by others is highly restricted as well. It is because that the transpo

rtation facilities and mass media, especially the Internet, are underdeveloped. In consequence, there are less methods and opportunities for people to win focus and attention in a quick and vast manner. Whereas cyber fame constitutes distinguish disparities compared to the traditional one. For one thing, through the Internet, the messages and information spread at an unprecedented speed as it were to every corner of the earth if conditions permit. It is of surprising convenience for people to share their stories and anecdotes online, which is free from time and place. Furthermore, the cost of obtaining fame online is tremendously lower than that of conventional’ s.

It is undeniable that each coin has two sides. Some people may hold the viewpoint that those people who go to almost any length to grasp attention attempt to find a short cut to earn more money, or satisfy their vanity, or eager to be known by others. Ma Nuo, a woman from the TV blind date show of Zhejiang Satellite Channel demonstrates their point concretely. She volunteers to participate in a show claiming that she would rather cry on a BMW car than laugh on the backseat of a bicycle. What an incredibly distorted and twisted value towards money she presented, said to be criticized and condemned by netizens around the whole country. Although it is admitted that Ma Nuo has become a devil of focus, people assume that not

only does she create a sensation; more importantly, a negative effect is to be conducted, which is detrimental to people’ s mental value. The cases including “Feng Jie”, “Furong Jiejie”, “Guo Meimei” and some other hot issues online all demonstrate the viewpoint vividly as well.

From my perspective, gaining cyber fame by the power of the Internet is supposed to be fashioned appropriately. It is convinced to me that the call for fairness, justice, love, care, charity and help etc. is expected to override those superficial needs. There are a vast group of citizens straining every nerve to be noteworthy merely for the purpose of appealing for establishing an warm, orderly, and harmonious society. By employing the Internet, they are enabled to voice their opinions and have their own say, which is rarely seen, or impossibly done in the past. What is needed to be emphasized is that a righteous and reasonable attitude shall be held by those who have flooded into, or are pooling into the hot-and-deep water. Thus, the cyber fame is likely to develop of the people, by the people and ultimately, for the people.
