There's a heated discussion on whether college students should be allowed to get married. People vary greatly in their attitudes. Some hold the positive view, saying that most college students are adults and mature enough to get married. Others, however, hold the opposite view, claiming that the university or college is a place to study instead of a community to lead family life. Allowing college students to get married would adversely affect their study. As far as I am concerned, I believe that college students should not be allowed to get married.

To begin with, it's particularly important to note that the increasing divorce rates in recent years peak in women under the age of 19, while in men it peaks

before the age of 25. Both of these ages speak specifically of those in college or just out. These, in my opinion, are the key statistics related to the marriage of individuals while in college. Though mostly adults, college students are actually immature psychologically. Their wishes to get married are, more often than not, impulses. Besides, as students, they are not ready to support a family financially. A third reason lies in college itself. College is a time when an individual is trying to, first and foremost, achieve academic success. In my opinion, the added responsibilities of marriage would do nothing but decrease the ability to succeed in one's education.

In short, I'm of the opinion that students should not be encouraged to get married while in college. Instead, they should spend more time fulfilling themselves as individuals. Marriage should not be dealt with until they are both physically and mentally ready for a lifelong commitment.

Firstly, viewed from the scientific aspect, zoos are crucial for protecting certain species from extinction. Secondly, zoos provide recreation and education for both children and adults. The relaxation and refreshment that zoos provide for urban dwellers can hardly be obtained through other means. And to be able to feed, say, a giraffe, some fresh saplings can be an experience worth remembering all one's life. In conclusion, instead of closing zoos, we should come up with more effective ways to maintain them and provide animals with better care, as they can be beneficial both to the preservation of genetic diversity and to our descendants and ourselves as well.
