Therefore, they shouldn’t have the right to hold any credit card, or money would be ill-spent and their credit might be damaged. However, others hold that credit card will impose more sense of responsibility on the students, and more opportunities to be independent, or they would get into the real world without enough social experience.

I share the opinion of the first group. The college students are too young to be entitled to any credit card, or it would be quite easy to be in hot water. But it’s acceptable with graduate students.

On campus, it is a common phenomenon for students to occupy seats. In the library, classrooms, and even the canteen, you can find books and pens claiming the temporary usage of the tables and seats.

This issue has aroused public concern. Some people hold that it is wrong and impolite behavior which should be fought against, while others argue that students should not take the blame since colleges fail to provide sufficient study facilities.

There is probably some truth in both sides. As to me, I’m in favor of the former argument. For one thing, occupying seats inevitably worsens the problem of resource shortage. The seats will remain empty until the occupiers come. For another, taking up seats does harm to the harmonious campus atmosphere when friendship and modesty give way to improper competition. Therefore, I strongly oppose this kind of act.

My view on Train Ticket Scalper

For many college students, going back home for the Spring Festival proves to be an ordeal. Despite the efforts of queuing up for several hours or even days, some can not get the tickets. As last resort, they would turn to the train ticket scalpers. According to numerous media reports, illegal ticket deal has become a flourishing and well-organized business.

Though illegal train-ticket deal does help some homebound people, oftentimes ticket scalpers sell fake tickets. Consequently, those with fake tickets will be punished by train conductors. Furthermore, suspicion of scalpers being hand in glove with railway employees has already resulted in the public anxiety and anger, which will pose potential threat to the social stability. While the railway infrastructure can not be improved in the near future, the only solution to control the illegal ticket deal depends on the efficiency of railway system management. If the ticket distribution system is reliable, then scalpers will eventually find their flourishing business doomed.

Nowadays, there has been a heated discussion over the growing income gap. Some people hold the gap is reasonable because it reflects different contributions that different people make in their work. In their view, those people with high income work hard and long. Besides, these people bring high efficiency, and create more wealth. Accordingly, they deserve high pay.

On the other hand, there are always some people who view this gap negatively. They believe that a lot of crimes happen as a result of this income gap. Some people make so little from their work that they risk taking criminal acts to get rich. In fact, experts have long found out that most cases of crime are directly related to low income. There is another point to back up the negative view against income gap. For most people, income gap may destroy the satisfaction that they obtain from work.

As everything has two sides, so has the problem of income gap. Personally, I believe that this gap may motive people to compete better in job market. When this gap is growing too wide, however, some negative consequences will come out. Therefore, our government should make some polices to prevent and get rid of them.

Traffic Restrictions and Environment Protection

So far, traffic restriction has been put into effect for more than one year in Beijing. And people do witness the changes. But as to its influence on the environment, no agreement has been reached yet.

The following opinions have been popular among the people. Many people believe that

traffic restriction brings evangel to the environment since it means fewer cars on the road, thus less waste gas and resource consumption. Some are pessimistic and want more radical regulations, because they consider the change is too conservative, therefore, the positive change to the environment is too minor. Still a small group of people have been fighting for some exact calculation between the positive effect to the environment and the inconvenience caused by the restriction.

As for me, “Better small than never”. Since we have been aware of the seriousness of the situation, we should take up our own responsibilities respectively: the government better public traffic system, and the citizens follow the necessary regulations. Only in this way will the environment and traffic be upgraded together.
