Now experts have different ideas about the history of the macaroni. Some believe that the great explorer, Marco polo had taken them from China to Italy. But more experts are sure that Etruscans, who at that time, had once been the residents of Northern Italy, had begun to make macaroni early in the 7th century. For large wooden tables which were surely used to mix flour and cookers that were considered as cooking macaronis were found in the Etruscan ruins. Those are the best evidence to prove the inventors of the macaroni were Italians.
Today, people always cook the macaroni with ketchup, cheese, pepper, mushrooms, etc. These prove the fact that we have made a great many progress in cooking the macaroni.
