为了探索预防七彩山鸡啄癖的有效措施,我们选用3-4周龄七彩山鸡200只,分成四组,每组50只,3组作为试验组,一组为对照组,试验组分别采取不同的预防七彩山鸡啄癖的措施,另外50只作为对照组,不采取任何预防啄癖的措施.然后观测试验山鸡的耗料量、山鸡相互啄的次数（啄羽、啄肛等）,啄死数、死亡率,从而确定哪种方法对预防七彩山鸡啄癖更有效.经30天试验,结果表明：预防啄癖采取的措施不同,对体重增加影响不大,三组的体重变化不规律,经检验差异不显著（P＞0.05）；而从耗料量看,三个试验组三周耗料量以试验3组耗料量最低,试验2组耗料量相对偏高,试验2组与试验3组比较,经检验差异显著(P＜0.05）；表明不同的预防啄癖的措施,对饲料消耗量影响较大,在采用的不同预防啄癖的措施中,又以在断喙的基础上再戴眼镜预防啄癖的效果最好.采取断喙、戴眼罩等措施,预防七彩山鸡啄癖可以减少啄癖发生的次数,减少由啄癖造成的山鸡脱毛,影响其
品相同时亦可降低由于啄癖造成的山鸡死亡.
