篇一:My View on the Internet

My View on the Internet

Nowadays, the Internet has become very common in our daily life, in that we can surf the Internet everywhere anywhere by computer or mobile. However, the debate on the pros and cons of the network has never stopped. Some people say that the network is a platform for information sharing. Due to it, we have a convenient channel for the

dissemination of information and access to information. But some others argue that some people commit a crime by the Internet, so we should stay away from the Internet. From my point of view, I prefer to agree to the former view.

There are some reasons accounting for my point. Firstly, with network, we can

exchange information frequently and conveniently. In the information area, information is wealth. In many cases, whether we can succeed in something, it depends on how much information we get. In addition, except for its serious functions, network is a good tool to entertain. Preciously, we only have TV or game machines to have fun, but now we have a functional platform for fun. On the Internet, we can watch TV programs and movies, or we can play online games as well as chat with friends freely, which is a good way to relax.

In short, there is no denying that the Internet has its own disadvantage, but I think its advantages far overweight its disadvantages that we can make good use of those good but avoid those bad.

简单来说,无可否认地,网络有它的缺点,但我认为网络的优点远远大于其缺点,我们应该利用好网络好的方面而避免其带来的负面影响。

篇三:surf internet

On Students’ Surfing the Internet

Nowadays, there is a strange but common phenomenon on campus, that is, when two students meet, they probably talk more about things concerning the Internet rather than their own studies, with words like, “What’s your qq number? ” or “Did you surf online yesterday? ”

Whenever you visit an Internet bar, you may find that place is crowded with people, among whom, students are in the great majority. Thus, it might as well be said that students’ surfing the Internet has come into fashion and become a hot topic.

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to students spending their precious time on the Internet? Different people have different opinions. Some say the Internet is an inexhaustible resource which can provide students with fast and abundant information, while others claim that it is harmful for students to surf the Internet since they are likely to be cheated by those unhealthy and false information. As to this question, I do hold that students should not spend too much time on the Internet.

Admittedly, the Internet has been playing an important role in our daily life, through which students can learn things, make friends and send emails, etc. But all these cannot make up for the troubles it has caused to students.

First, it cannot be denied that there remains a great deal of unhealthy information in cyberspace like pornographic pictures, obscene films or vulgar music and things of that sort. Once attracted by such a powerful magnet, students, especially the innocent ones who are in the age of puberty, appear to have little self-control and tend to be misled, sinking deeper and deeper, even committing crime at last.

Besides, surfing the Internet is rather time and energy-consuming. Some students complain that their real life is monotonous and they regard surfing the Internet the only way to kill time and seek happiness.

Nevertheless, the moment they sit before their computers, they seem to forget the whole world, not to mention studies. Sometimes, they will take a whole day and night online, chatting and playing adventurous games. No wonder they cannot help yawning and falling asleep in class the next day. However, once they have recovered from tiredness and regained their vigor, they will surf the Internet again. The Internet is nothing but a sticky spider web, while students are just like insects tied up unfortunately in a

trap. With their energy gradually fading, students finally fall victim to the spider. How miserable!

Furthermore, surfing the Internet will, to a great extent, bring extra economic burdens to students who are mainly supported by their families. So far as I know, a student will be charged 1RMB per hour in the Internet bar, then you can imagine how much money he has to pay provided he keeps on surfing online for a few hours everyday.

To sum up, I do not think the Internet does students much good, but this does not mean that students should not acquire useful information from the Internet. My suggestion is that students should have a right attitude toward the Internet. They’d better not be preoccupied with the Internet and forget their main task. They should learn how to use the Internet in a proper way.

篇四:Surf the Internet Outside China

Surf the Internet Outside China

As we all know, China?s Internet is separated from the outside Internet by the Great Firewall (GFW). So it?s difficult for us to visit websites like Youtube or register a twitter. Also for the harmony society, some political information about the Party may be filtered, which is more attractive than other messages. This semester my friend told me a way to bypass the GFW using a website agent and in the end, I can go through the Internet freely. Let me tell you about that.

First of all, you have to do some basic preparation. Make sure the computer is connected to the World Wide Web. Of course, an Internet explorer needs to be downloading because all the surfing relies on an IE. Here I recommend the Google chrome. It contains quite a lot plugs for us to use, and the most important thing is that it?s a foreign explorer, unlike our explorer, which was designed to filter outside websites. Here Chrome is better than any other domestic browser. It is certainly more convenient than using QQ browser. Also you need to register an account in Google for further experience in Chrome.

Although you have the browser, you still can?t visit the websites. Then you should turn to the website agent for help. A website agent aims to help users surf the Internet by delivering different IPs so that you?re allowed to see the ?outside? world. There?re several good agents on the Internet, among them there?s one called Goagent. This software is so

simple to use that even an idiot could run it smoothly. Download Goagent from their official website. This website agent cannot work alone, so we need a plug in to what is called Proxy Switch Sharp. Open the Google application store, search for this plug and fix it. As soon as this step is down, the basic preparation is over.

The following step is quite important. Now that the preparation work is finished, it?s time for us to do some settings. Right click the goagent and run it by TXT. Edit the name that you previously registered in Google. Afterwards, apply in your application and Google id and password to upload your information. Then in the “Switch Sharp”option, choose “Inerratic Changing” and refresh immediately. Always make sure that your option is “Auto Switch”. Last but not least, guarantee that the Goagent is running. So everything will be running smoothly.

If you follow all the guides you can easily bypass the GFW.Open the computer, wait to run the goagent, open the Chrome and enter the website address and start the online surfing!

Visiting the outside websites can broaden your horizon. Also, reading views from writers of different backgrounds give you ideas on critical thinking. All in all, surf the Internet outside China is a way to get information and don?t do any illegal things forever.
