Good evening ladies and gentlemen

I would like to begin my speech by asking you several questions .At the end of your life, what do you want most to remember? The first time met your lover, the day that you got married, the day that you became a father or a mother? Well if I had a time machine I would want to recapture some golden moments filled with love. Today I want to share three of these with you. First, when I was young, my grandpa passed away. Beside his deathbed he said to grandma with tears flowing down his face, “i am sorry to say that i am a very traditional person,who never say one word about love to you,and now my time is over ,and i have no chance say anything to you.but remember i do love you." These were moving and emotional words which show the power and enduring nature of love.

Second, let`s take a time travel back to a few years ago.to make a living,grandpa had to work so hard that even the day of his son born.grandpa said sorry to his son again and again ,but he knew to let a woman grandma oneself bore the pain of childbirth is not a easy thing.so he knew how deeply grandma love him.i think

the love between them is so powerful that can challenge anything.

Third,there are something about my parents.because of the poorness ,their wedding is very simple even dad didn`t give mom a ring.my mom repeat what she said at the wedding."the ring is just a symbol that i am your wife,but now you already have gave me the best thing ------your heart your love your soul."i think the wedding is the most thing during a woman`s life,so,how great my mother is!

Now ,let us come back to the reality,i can still feel the power of their love ,so wonderful.

One last thought ,i think the love is great ,which is could not be forgotten.if i had a time machine ,i can keep love fresher.if i had a time machine ,i can travel back to review the beautiful moments that we had together to make the world full of love .

If I had a lot of money, I would…. If I had a lot of money, I would do a lot of things that I couldn’t do now but I wanted to do. As for it, I only dream this dream.

If I had a lot of money, I would buy a big house for my parents at first. Maybe you could not imagine how my parents to try their all best to let my little sister and I go to universities. How difficultly they make the money! They didn’t have money to buy their own beautiful clothes or delicious food. They didn’t have money let them have comfortable life. And then I would give my parents 600 thousand RMB to have better and happier life. And I would do the same things to my husband’s parents because they are my parents, too. I must treat them as my own parents. As their son’s wife, that my duty to let their life be better and happier.

Next, if I had a lot of money, I would build a building for the students in my school. Now, the students don’t have enough dormitories to

live. A very small bed must sleep two students. They usually are very crowded.

Then, if I had lot of money, I would spend 120 thousand buying a nice car for my husband. Now, my husband has an ugly car.

And, if I had a lot of money, I would buy another house for my family, my husband, my cute little daughter, and me.

Next, if I had a lot of money, I would give much money to the medical research. I want to help other people.

If I had a lot of money, I wouldn’t give much money to my --self because I was very young. I could earn much money to myself and my famliy. And I wouldn’t leave much money to my kid. In this way, maybe my kid would do nothing and spend my money. That might not be a good way to educate my kid.

If I Had One Million Dollars

If I had one million dollars, I would establish a foundation in rural areas.Everyone has an opportunity to have one million dollars one day. What would you do if it comes true? Some would buy everything that they have dreamed to have for a long time, such as a big house, a luxurious car, etc. Some would have a trip throughout the world to visit all of spectacular attractions. When the question occurs to me, I would prefer to establish a foundation to help the poor students, the poor peasants and the homeless.

The first main purpose of the foundation would be to help the poor students with their education. Children equipped with a sound education are the hope and future of the development of our nation. They have to shoulder the responsibility to build their hometown, to develop local economy, and to educate their kids. In nowadays China, however, a certain proportion of poor students cannot afford to attend school even the elementary ones in spite of the nine-year compulsory education which is tuition-free. Their parents preferred their leaving the rural areas for city so that they may one day greatly improve the whole family's liv

ing conditions. Unfortunately, their parents hardly have the ability to give them enough education. Therefore, poor students are the first goal of the foundation.

The second purpose of the foundation would be to help poor peasants obtain job skills. Seventy percent of Chinese populations are peasants living in rural areas or even remote villages among the huge mountains. The crops planted in the field are the only source of their income. If they want to enter the city to look for a job, they have no skills to win in a job interview. The foundation would offer free training for the poor peasants to teach them career skills, such as nursing, cooking, engineering, etc. Thus, they could find a better and more satisfactory job in the future.

Building houses for the homeless is another purpose of the foundation. There is a famous saying in China, "All of the homeless would be pleased when they live in a room." The Chinese government has made a series of policies to meet people’s demand for houses, but there are still many people who cannot afford one. Although it is just in my imagination, I really want to help the poor students get more knowledge, to help the poor peasants make more money, and to help the homeless live under a roof.

My name is Angela. My major is public administration. It’s my pleasure to meet you all here and share my speech with you. Today my topic is “if I had a time machine”.

I would like to begin my speech by asking you a question. What will interest you most by having a time machine? Tracing back to the past or going to the far future? As for me, I would like both.

If I had a time machine, I would wish I could go back to the past and live without advanced technology. On this particular way, we, the young people of today would have the chance to experience the childhood of our parents. And we could recover all we had lost in the modern world. The key is to treasure our human initiative and connections, to see the world with our own eyes , explore the unknown with our minds and treat others with our hearts.

If I had a time machine, I’d also prefer to look at the future . The life there must be much more fantastic and colorful. I’ll get a more clear impression about my future,such as the work I’ll devote in and the sweet life of my

family.At the unknown period, the society may be more modern. So I can get more knowledge, know more about the human, the nature and so on. The people in future may discover some new ways to solve the environmental

problems,especially the severe hazel now. I’ll memorize the methods as much as possible. After returning, I’ll provide the method to the government. The

earlier to take the measures, the better the environment would be. So I’ll also win a more comfortable environment to live in.

That’s all my idea about the time travel. I can sure I’ll enjoy and

appreciate the travel from past to future, and I’ll be grateful to the wonderful time machine.

外语系商英1003班 秦慧敏 If I had a time machine, I would find my Doraemon. I would go to a place where have Doraemon.

As we all know, Doraemon has his own time machine, and one day, maybe I can come across him when I drive my time machine. I will say hi to him, or probably I am too excited to say anything. But at last, I will invite him to my home, and he admits. If he is really missed Da Xiong, he can also give another Doraemon who likes him. Then we become a couple of best friend. He will show me his magic things in his pocket, maybe sometimes I make some

trouble, and he is worried about me because of someone’s blame, but we can handle it in the end. In a word, we will still happy together and forever. If I had a time machine, I don’t want to go to the future or past, and some

mysterious things or important situation. Even if there is a saying said that: “the future will come, but the past will never come again. ” Maybe someone think that if they can get some vital figures in the past, they will become very rich or famous. But I don’t think so. Life doesn’t allow us to regret. Everyone’s whole life is written by ourselves. The majority of us don’t satisfy our current situation. Someone think they missed something. Sometimes, they could have been smarter or braver, and sometimes, they could have grasped more

opportunities to exercise themselves. So they want to go to the past.

In my view, life is an experience in whole process, so I just want to find and make more and more laugh and happiness, just find out my happy time with my time machine. But it’s obvious that this fantasy will not come true. So the only thing I can do is that cherish the recalling and do well now.

Finally, I find a small poetry, though it’s not the most brilliant, it has its style. Then I will read it to all of you.
