我的爸爸待人热情，乐于助人，这是我感到十分自豪。可就是有抽烟的坏习惯。我和妈妈是最讨厌爸爸的烟味了！于是，我觉得这个坏习惯不好，我暗暗下定决心要帮爸爸改掉这个坏习惯。

开始我想骂他，让他觉得不好意思，也许他会戒烟，可是天底下哪有儿女骂爸爸的呀！人家会笑话我的，甚至会说我不孝。于是我犹豫了，正当我犹豫不决的时候，突然想：“爸爸不是想让我考好吗？”我可以用成绩来帮他戒烟，就这么办！我暗暗下定了决心。跟爸爸商量以后，我就发奋学习，功夫不负有心人，经过了一阶段的努力，我终于在一次单元考试中考出了好成绩。我迫不及待地拿给爸爸看，爸爸见了说：“我以后再也不抽烟了。”你别以为他这下就会改，才没呢！

一天晚上，我吃过饭，突然闻到一股刺鼻的烟味。我瞟了爸爸一眼，皱了皱眉头说：“爸爸呀！您不是答应我以后再也不抽烟了吗？”听了我的这番话，爸爸才慢吞吞地把烟灭了，无可奈何地说：“好好好，我服了你了。”看着爸爸有所改正，我心里乐滋滋的。

没过几天，爸爸按捺不住地又抽了。这怎么行呢，我得知口香糖可戒烟，于是，我从妈妈那里要来了一些钱，买了盒“绿箭口香糖”，用纸包着，写上“戒烟糖”，还写了封我巴望爸爸戒烟的情感信。到了晚上，我把信连同“戒烟糖”一同交给爸爸，不知怎么着，以后的几天中，爸爸没抽一支烟。从此，讨厌的烟味在我家消失了。

我帮爸爸改掉了一个坏习惯，让我感到很高兴。做人要取长补短，改正缺点。
