My hometown Deyang is located in the west of Sichuan province.There are six districts in Deyang,they are Jingyang,Guanghan,Zhongjiang,Luojiang,Mianzhu and Shifang.On the north of the city is Mianyang,and at the South boundary of Deyang is Chengdu,provincial capital of Sichuan.Natural environment in Deyang is very pleasing,most of its part belongs to Dujiangyan irrigated area.Deyang known as the grain producing of Sichuan province,is also the provincial important production base of grain,cotton,oil,pig and silk and so on.It鈥檚 also abundant mineral resources and about 30 kinds of them have been proved up,especially limestone,natural gas and table-water.Deyang has a long history which can trace back to Sanguo period.There are so many places of historic interest and scenic beauty,such as Pangtong tomb,Zhuge鈥檚 Memorial to memory the son and grandson of Zhugeliang.
There are 18 cultural sights,21 scenic spots,among which one is cultural relic at the national level,13 cultural sights,2 scenic spots and 2 historic and cultural towns are at the provincial level.There are a lot of famous places can be introduced to all of you,including Yinghua Mount,Wangfo Temple,Sichuan palace of culture and amusement,Longmeng Mount national geographic park and so on.
But today,I鈥檒l introduce three special places to all of you.At first,we will go to Confucian Temple.Deyang Confucian Temple is one of the three biggest ones in China,first built in Song Dynasty,which is cultural relic at the national level.From this picture,we can see:the place is divided into two parts by a big and tall palace wall.Outside,the statue of Confucius still stands in the city central park,which is surrounded with music spring,colorful fishes,and other entertainment facilities.Inside the big wall,this is the main part of Confucian Temple.We can see a great stone torii with five arches.Through these arches,there are three bridges,a big square and a hall of Dachengdian.Entering the hall,a statue of Confucius sits in the middle,his 12 famous students around him.Every year,a special ceremony will be held to memory the Saint.
Ok,now let鈥檚 visit the second place,Sanxingdui Museum.There are many kinds of bronze vessels,wares and jade articles in it.These wonderful and fantastic things can be regarded as the symbol of the brilliant culture of the ancient kingdom,Su.Look at this bronze mask,do you find some different things?This is his eyes,do you know why he has this special eyes?Because in order to see farther space.The tree is a jaba tree and at end of every branch,standing a bird.This golden mask is made for an ancient person.
The third place,we鈥檒l go to the stone bull park.The name of park comes from a stone bull carved about 200 years ago.The park is seated beside the Mianyuan River,where has so many stone statues,stone buildings,music hall,bull gate and so on.72 different Chinese dragon pillars stand along the corridor.On the small Chinese Zodiac square,the 12 symbolic animals stand on the top of pillars.
Then,I鈥檒l introduce some famous people of Deyang.The first person was Libing,who was the main leader and builder of Dujiangyang about two thousands years ago.The picture shows his tomb in Shifang.The second person is a poet named Litiaoyuan,and his former residence still has been opening to public for several centuries in Luojiang.The third person is Anan,who was so obedient to his parents that having gained respect from other people.The fourth one is a well-know hero,named Huangjiguang.Now,a memorial and a reservoir are named by him.The fifth one was Yangrui,who was the main leader of Wuxu reform.The last one,Zhanghanyun,is a famous star,a super girl.She is very popular among young people.
I think many traditional food of Sichuan are very delicious,such as Mapobeen-curd,double-cooked pork slices,hot-pot and so on.Today,I鈥檒l show you some special local products of Deyang,including juice beef,salted duck,spiced rabbit meat,the hollow noodle,sauce of many kinds,pea-nut,special been-curd,preserved eggs,spring rolls,little rose rice cake,flower tea,beer,cigar,alcohol of Jingnanchuan and so on.And some culture products are also famous.For example,beautiful artic fans,the special for the Spring Festival picture which is one of four well-know ones of our country.
The city is a quiet,comfortable and wonderful place.There are many different kinds of animals and plants,such as panda銆丼ichuan golden monkey銆乴eopard.The city鈥檚 forest have covered over 4000 acres.Forest covering rate reaches above 36 percent.Beside Jing Lake,many people have a rest.They are fishing,drinking tea,doing exercise.Every season,you can see many birds flying around lake,such as red-mouth gull,white-head bird,long-tailed shrike,egret,mynah,wild duck.The rail of lake is made of stone.The lake is so beautiful that has been granted the award for its harmonious living environment.So many statues lay in every corner of city.And night piece of Deyang is also charming.
