Although college and university may often be used interchangeably meaning an instituion that offers higher education beyond high school, there is a slight difference between the two. In United States, a university normally provides various degreed programs for undergraduate, graduate and post graduate students. On the other hand, while some of the colleges might also offered a four-year degreed program in undergraduate studies, there are a lot more that offer only a two-year vocational program to those who are eager to go to work in specialized fields.
