Dear XXX,
Sorry for let you wait so long. I want to let you know everything is just fine over here. My friends and I went to the winter vacation, but two days ago, there huge snowflakes started to drop and now the storm was tremendous, so we cannot get back home on time. The storm just keep on going and the wind is so strong. The airport had been closed and the highway has been block by the snow. The transportation will go back to normal in at least three days. Don't worry about me, I will go back home as soon as possible. Is everything okay back there? See you soon. Take care.
