Firstly, English is one of the most popular languages in the world. Many countries use English, and also most of the people in the countries that do not use English can speak English, some of them can speak very well.
Secondly, at some serious occasion, we need to use English. At some important meeting or some important books they all use English. If we don’t know English, it is difficult to communicate with other people.
So whatever you do in the future, English will always be very important in the twenty first century.
