Those who live in the dorm will have more stricter schedules,which in turn may help the study,they can save time from commuting to school,they could be better disciplined since they follow dorm rules on a daily basis.Also living in the dorm could help students to better socialize.And they are normally better informed than those who live off campus.
Cons:远离母,与家长交流减少,易产生隔阂; 不适应,压力大; 容易拉帮结伙; 传染疾病
It surely won't help students who need better communication with their parents,parents may feel that they don't know what their kids are doing at school; Some may be overwhelmed by living in the dorm,if they cannot get use to the dorm life.Some may end up hang out with certain groups,that in the end limit their socializing.It is always a concern for some about the hygiene in the dorm,fear an out break of disease.
