Previous studies [1,2] have shown that the plasma process could make reagents deposited on the surface of materials change the surface properties of the treated materials.Other studies [3,4] showed that the chemical composition of material suifaces could be changed after plasma treatment with various gases.Ward et al.[5]and [6,7]suggested that the molecular structures of cellulose fiber surfaces could be decomposed to generate the new functional groups after plasma treatment .Additionally,some studier [8-11]indicated that the pore structures of the treated fabrics are affected by varying the functional groups of crosslinking agents.
In the persent study.we were interested in understanding the effect of the plasma treatment on the pore structure by using the following diffusion equation [12,13]:

Where a is the absorption of the dye on cotton in time t,ae is the equilibrium absorption at t→,k 'is the specific rate constant,k si the rate constant,C0 is the concentration of cotton in a finite bath,and n is the structural diffusion resistance constant.From these values,we also determined activation energies(∆E*) using the Arrhemius equation,

where T is the absolute temperature,and R is the gas constant.
The structural diffusion resistance constant and some other dyeing kinetic data for the crosslinked cotton fabrics with the combined DMDHEU and acrylic acid crosslinking agent under the pad-dry-plasma-cure piocess were detemined with two direct dyes and used to study the pore properties an antibacterial properties of the treated fabrics.
