Over-population is main causes of desertification, this mean that have many people live in one area, which is a big problem.Like in India,as of July 2003,India had a population of just over one billion, with around 170 million hectares of arable land. And if the population of India is still increase, then the children in India will not have good education for each.Over-population is not a direct effect,it is an indirect effect, because it can’t directly be the cause of desertification, but it can leads to some other causes such as over-cultivation,over-grazing and deforestation.Because a growing population will need more farm land and more cattle for eat,the result of these are vegetation cannot grow back, then the land will exposed to wind and rain, soil is bare. The land can’t infiltrate rain, and then the land will have more risk of soil erosion,so a growing population leads those causes can bring desertification.

Over-population is the main cause of desertification, this means that having many people live in one area, which is a big problem. Take India for example,as of July 2003, it had a population of just over one billion, with around 170 million hectares of arable land. And if its population still increases, then the children will not have good education for themselves. Over-population is not a direct effect, it is an indirect one because it can’t directly be the cause of desertification, but it can lead to other causes such as over-cultivation, over-grazing and deforestation. Because a growing population will need more farm land and more cattle to eat, the result of these is vegetation cannot grow back, then the land will be exposed to wind and rain, while soil is bare. The land can’t infiltrate rain, and then the land will have more risk of soil erosion, so a growing population leads those causes can bring desertification.
