97年我调到刚成立的信息中心，对计算机只感到的新鲜、好奇。分局安排我到武汉大学脱产学习，给了我一个理想实现的机会。在这一年中，我同其他分局的同行们一起，系统的学习了计算机的基础知识和应用软件，从DOS、WPS到编程、网络……春夏秋冬，放弃了寒暑假，放弃了节假日，放弃了朋友们的一次次聚会，一年中没有回过几次襄樊，终于以优异的成绩完成了全部课程。

原以为学习过的我，已能驾驶着计算机驶入税务信息的高速公路，接触工作才知道理论和实际相差很远，为了跟上税务信息的发展，适应工作，痛定思痛后，我从自修英语起步，同时说通父母，花了一万多元搬回了电脑，并购置和借阅了多种计算机方面的书籍，也从这时起我就和孤独结下了不解之缘。近两年的时间，晚上我常常是守着书桌上的一盏台灯打发掉的，或看书，或写作，或打开心爱的电脑。我也到处学艺，分局信息组的同事就是我的良师，我们经常在一起讨论，相互学习，取长补短，有不少时候，为了一个问题，我们常常争论的面红耳赤，为了一个方便的解决办法，我们绞尽脑汁，而一旦有了结果，我们又欣喜若狂。
青春的美丽在于不断的创造和不停的超越自己。正是这段孤独和寂寞的日子，我重新明白了青春奉献与创造的意义，彻底放弃了泡在网络聊天和电子游戏的所谓“虚拟人生”中却大言不惭地说这就是“E时代人类”的“精神家园”的陈腐思想。
