Some people believe that there should be fixed punishment for each type of crime.Others,however,argue that the circumstance of an individual crime,and the motivation for committing it,should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment.
There are some discussions revolving around the issue of crime punishments.Some individuals argue that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime.However,I don’t think this is pratical or wise thinking.
Fixed punishments for each type of crime would probably offer some advantages,to start with,it will be more efficient if each type of crime links a fixed punishment,and the articles of crime law will be so simple that the citizens can learn it well.It seems that there will be less debates about the measurement of the punishments between the defend lawyers and the state prosecutors on the court.But how the fixed penalties can reflect the different criminal?It is really true that all the criminals are on the same level of evil?
It is more evidently reasonable for the different circumstances should taken into account when deciding on the punishment.Fist of all,some people attacking victims by unconscious,compared to the individuals who deliberately to attack others,it is so unfair to them to assume the same consequence.Further more,some criminals are extremely violent and wicked,they murder people in very cruel ways,these criminals should assume the more severe punishments.Thirdly,the crime penalties should considering the motivation of committing it,the purpose of crime law is to punish the people who crime because of selfish or greedy,isn’t it?
The justice of law is the one of the most essential elements of social development.I am convinced that only the different levels of punishments for crime can reflect this.
