Nowadays,with the rapid development of modern science and high technology,our lives are becoming more comfortable and convenient.However,while enjoying the merits those things bring to human,many people have already awared of the problems science and technology give to us.The most wide argument is that whether the advaning of science and technology results with environmental pollution and energy shortage.As far as I concern,it is definitely that those problems cause by the development we mentioned.
First of all,the development of science and technology provides us a rather huge transportation system,espacially the vast use of vehicles which contain airplanes,trains,cars and motormobiles.These machines need a lot of energy to operate everyday.While consuming fuel,they also emit fumes which should be accused of causing many problems such as Greenhouse effect and healthy issues.From this angle,the modern science and technology indeed leads to environmental pollution and energy shortage.
Furthermore,electricity,the most important factor in modern society,is also the production of modern science and technology.Electricity is used in every continents even Antarctic everyday.It is generally acknowledged that almost 75% electricity is generated by normle power plants which combust fossial fuel to make electricity.Then the swift developmenr in any aspect of society will aggravate the environmental pollution and energy shortage directly.
By given above-mentioned views,I think that as the consquence of modern science and technology,environmental pollution and energy shortage need governments of all countries to pay more attentions about it.
