在生活中，每个人都会受到别人的称赞和表扬。我曾经也不只一次受到过他人的表扬，但是有一次表扬使我至今难忘。

那是在小学四年级时，爸爸给我在校外报了绘画班。在班里我的绘画水平还算挺好的。这一学期时老师在一节上课时对我们宣布说：“下一周，有一次绘画大赛，我将要派三名同学去参加，具体是谁下课后我会叫他去办公室。”我一听既紧张又兴奋，猜想到老师会不会叫我呢？下课后，老师果然叫我去他办公室，我听了高兴极了，连忙赶到老师办公室去。老师把我和其他两位同学叫到他的办公室，对我们说：“你们都是班上绘画出色的同学，这次比赛就派你们几个去参加。”我和其他两位同学都愉快的答应了。我没多考虑很自信的画了一幅作品交给老师，老师便替我交上去了。我暗自想自己肯定能拿个奖，就期盼比赛结果马上出来。两周后结果出来了，我看了获奖名单后惊讶了，居然没有我的名字，我简直都不敢

相信自己的眼睛，我在名单上找了好几遍就是没有自己的名字。我垂头丧气，就好像是泄了气的皮球一样。我一怒之下决定再也不画了，便把绘画用的所有东西都扔在了柜子了并且拿锁子锁上了。

这件事没过去多久，有一天老师找我，我心中忐忑不安，觉得老师会批评我。到老师办公室后老师对我说：“是不是对上次的比赛还不满意吗？”我点了点头。老师说：“上一次的比赛，你由于构思不太新颖，色彩比较单调，所以没有获奖。不过没关系，以后在这两方面要再努力一下，老师相信你会成功。”听老师这么一说，我心头一震。我没为老师争光，老师还表扬我，鼓励我。这让我对绘画的感情又油然而生，在老师的指导下，几周后我又参加了一次比赛，结果取得了优异的成绩。看着名单上有我的名字，我心里有一种说不出的滋味。

从这件事中我明白了，成功者需要表扬，失败者也同样需要鼓励。

记不清有多少次得到夸奖，也记不清有多少次因得到表扬而得意忘形。但是这一次妈妈对我的表扬却令我难以忘却。

“唉，真糟糕！回去又得挨批评了。”我一边走在回家的路上，一边自言自语。真希望时间停止脚步，可老天似乎在和我作对似的，平时感觉很长的一段路，好像变得短短的，眨眼间就到了家门口。我开门后，东张西望，看看妈妈在不在家。我把考卷拿了出来，看着红色的分数，我心中忐忑不安，心想：这次我该怎么办呢？藏起来，是不诚实的行为；给妈妈看，又怕挨批评。这使我想起了以前，我也是考了很差的分数，但是我把考卷藏了起来，结果被妈妈发现后挨了一顿批评。这次会不会也挨批评呀？就在这时，门铃响了，“呀！妈妈回来了，怎么办？”就在我惊慌失措的时候，我想起了妈妈说的一句话“成绩固然重要，但好品德比成绩更重要。”于是我不管三七二十一，低着头把考卷递到了妈妈的面前，我用余光看着妈妈的表情，原以为妈妈会皱紧眉头，狠狠地批评我一顿。但令我诧异的是，妈妈不仅没有

批评我，还表扬了我的诚实：“虽然你这次没考好，但是你的诚实令我感到欣慰。看来经过上次的事你已经吸取了教训！”被表扬的感觉真好呀！

我的英语学习历程

今天我想谈谈关于英语学习，关于英语学习我有很多话要说，读了这么多年的书，也学习英语很多年。但是总是觉得自己的英语水平很差，特别是口语，每次想用英语和别人谈话时，连最简单的词语都想不起来，更不用说组成句子了，那些介词更加不知道往哪里放了，每一次都感到很尴尬。下面我来具体谈谈我的英语学习历程。

我的小学生涯是不学习英语的，真正接触英语是初一的时候，那时候我是从最基本的26个字母学起的。因为家里是农村的原因，所以英语老师的水平都不怎么好，不过那时候最崇拜和最恐惧的就是英语老师了。崇拜的原因是老师在讲台上侃侃而谈，我们根本听不懂，便觉得听不懂就是好的。恐惧的原因是每次上课都要上讲台上默写单词或者两人对话，那时候觉得没有什么比这更可怕的事情了。周围的小伙伴大部分都是初中没读完就辍学了，更加不知道学习英语的重要性了。我们那时候普通话都说不好，更不用说主动用英语来交流了。对一个农民来说英语简直天方夜谭。同学们之间普遍流行一句话：我是中国人，为啥学习外语，不学ABC，照样当经理。众所周知，学习一门语言环境很重要，我周围的环境使得我对刚刚接触的英语提不起兴趣，更不用说学好它了。因此，应对考试成了我学习英语的唯一动力。现在回想起那时候的时光，一半忧伤，一半喜悦。

在我村子，能把初中读完的人很少，考上高中的人更加稀如牛毛，而我就是那牛毛中的一根。没有人愿意承认自己在某方面比别人差，我也想学好英语，我也想在别人面前自豪的用英语讲话。然而这一愿望在升入高中后很快夭折了，因为我明白了在中国升入高中意味着你要时刻为高考做准备。每天重复着做英语试题，每天接触到选项A B C D,我讨厌那种应试教育，但是我又不得不去忍受，世界上最痛苦的事情莫过于此。

我是怎么考入大学的我不知道，但是我清楚的明白不是因为英语。进入大学后，英语教育虽然很自由，但是很少有人在200人的课堂不逃课的，我就是其中的一员，有时偶尔去上课，精力也很不集中，大学中学到的东西很少。大学时有很多的课外时间，我喜欢上看英文电影，令我印象最深刻的是《傲慢与偏见》。还包括迪斯尼拍的动画片，例如《冰河世纪》，《美丽的大脚》等等。虽然大学期间通过了英语四六级，但我总觉得运气多一些。就连研究生英语入学考试我都认

为运气多一些，有时候真的有很多的英语单词不认识，也不明白主题讲的是什么。

糊里糊涂就来到汕头大学读研，本来以为英语教育也如本科的时候一样，没想到是小班教学，这令我很兴奋。虽然我的英语基础（包括发音，语法等等）和别人相比差了一些，有时候会不明白老师在讲什么，但是我会努力的听讲和练习我的英语口语的，我相信上帝永远不会放弃上进的。正如我不会放弃英语学习。另外，我很喜欢老师的教课方式，并且老师很有耐心，我相信在老师的引导下，我的英语水平会有所提高的。
