When it comes to birthdays, something warm and cozy may strike us. And in the depth of memory, there must be a birthday which can impress us greatly. My 16th birthday rushes into my mind each time I think of the birthdays automatically celebrated.

On the birthday that year, my parents and I agreed to do volunteer work in the home for the aged. At first, I didn’t take it seriously. Bored and half-hearted, I did nothing but watch my parents devoting themselves to the cleaning work. Then, an old lady, with a walking stick in her hand, looking for her pet dog came into my sight.
