2、有效率的乐观主义

古时候有这样一个笑话：一人从集市上买回一罐油，由于急着赶路，不幸罐索朽腐，油罐坠地摔碎，他头也不回地继续前行。路人提醒他：“你看你的油罐碎了。”他回答说：“已经碎了，看有什么用，只能耽误走路。”我想，这大概就是人们常常想到、常常念着的“乐观主义”了。

可见，乐观主义能帮人战胜许多愁虑、困难、穷苦、失望。

人生总会碰到恶魔的。一个人的目的愈远，计划愈大，他的工作所经过的途径也愈远；在前进的时候，有许多愁虑、困难、穷苦、失望，都是当然要碰到的恶魔。乐观主义的人，就像这个扛油罐的人一样，是不怕这些恶魔的摧沮的，反而会振起精神，抱着希望，向前干去!因为他们知道 ，倘被恶魔所屈服，便灭亡了；只有抱着乐观主义的态度，才能战胜恶魔，取得胜利！

凡是要做得好的事情，都不是随随便便就行的，都不是容易的。你自己要立于什么地位？要达到什么地步？情愿付什么代价？你所希望的地位或地步总在那里，不过必须先付足了代价的人，才能“如愿以偿”。沿着大成功的一条路上，有许多小失败排列着，最后的成功是在能用坚毅的精神，伶俐的眼光，从这许多小失败里面寻出教训，尽量地利用它，向前猛进。而这种"寻出"和"尽量地利用"，惟有抱乐观主义的人才能够办到。

有许多人，对乐观主义有一种误解，以为乐观主义的人不过是“喜皮笑脸”“随随便便”“一切放任”“撤撤烂污”“得过且过”“唯唯诺诺”。请君切莫误信这种谬说。真正的乐观主义的人是用积极的精神向前奋斗的人，是战胜愁虑穷苦的人。这类的苦境，常人遇着，要“心胆俱碎”“一蹶而不能复振”的；只有真正乐观主义的人才能努力奋斗，才敢努力奋斗！所以讲到乐观主义还不够，要有“有效率的乐观主义”才行。

古今中外，因了有极强烈而有效的乐观主义，战胜各种艰难险阻取得胜利的大有人在。牛顿发明地心吸力学说的时候，全世界人反对他；哈费(Harvey)发明血液循环学说的时候，全世界人反对他；达尔文宣布进化论的时候，全世人反对他；贝尔(Bell)第一次造电话的时候，全世界人讥笑他；莱特（Wrigt）初用苦工于制造飞机的时候，全世界人讥笑他。讲到孙中山先生，最初在南洋演讲革命救国的时候，有一次听的人只有三个。这许多人都因抱着乐观主义的精神，而为世人所称道。

极强烈而有效的乐观主义，能使人们战胜全世界的胡涂、盲从、冷酷、恐怖、怨恨和反抗。而且工作愈伟大，所受的反抗也愈厉害，简直成为一种律令，对付这种厉害的反抗，最重要的武器就是乐观主义。一个人，缺少了乐观主义精神，难免在各种恶魔面前败下阵来。

3、我知道得太少

气象、地理学家竺可桢，在离他逝世两个星期前的一天里，当他得知外孙女婿来到他家，便迫不及待地叫他讲授高能物理基本粒子的基本知识。老伴劝他：“你连坐都支持不住，还问这些干什么？”竺老听了老伴的话儿，一边咳嗽一边说：“不成，我知道得太少。”

好一个“我知道得太少”！这种谦逊好学，不耻下问，甘拜人师，永不满足的精神，正是我国人民的传统美德，也是人生道路上走向光辉顶点的基本要素。 竺可桢在气象学上辛勤耕耘，数十年如一日地进行长期观察研究，一生硕果累累。谁能想到，一个蜚声中外的大科学家，竟还在84岁的高龄，在生命处于垂危之际，先后五次向晚辈求教“补课”，孜孜不倦。不能不说这正是我国谦逊好学，不耻下问，甘拜人师，永不满足的精神这一传统美德在一个大科学家身上的生动体现，正是他能走向人生光辉顶点的基本要素。怎能不令人深深敬佩呢？ 人类史上，一个巨人的诞生，一门科学的创立，给社会带来了巨大的进步，但它并没有结束认识真理、认识客观世界的进程，科学真理的路儿仍在不断地仲延。随着时代的进步，科学的发展，学科愈来愈多，社会分工也越来越细，因此

要不断进步，就必须不断学习。因此，谦逊好学，不耻下问，甘拜人师，永不满足的精神，永远是走向人生光辉顶点的基本要素。

4、世易时移，变法宜矣

--从“刻舟求剑”说起

大家都知道，我们中国有句成语，叫做“刻舟求剑”，比喻死心眼，做事情不懂得因时因事而异，不懂得变通。刻舟求剑这种人在现实生活中似乎并不多见，甚至可以说，这样的人近乎没有；然而，做出类似“刻舟求剑”这种蠢事的人却并不少；比如那些反对革新，墨守成规，不知变通的人其实就是这样的人。

《吕氏春秋?察今》里说：“世易时移，变法宜矣。”即做事要据情况而论，该变法时就必须变法。批评的就是像刻舟求剑那样不懂得变通的人。

不墨守成规，我国古代的一些有识之士早已懂得这道理。与《吕氏春秋》几乎同时的《韩非子》，在其《五蠢》篇里，就讲了同样的思想：“故凡举事必循法以动，变法者因时而化。”又说：“是以圣人不期修古，不法常可，论世之事，

因为之备，故事因于世而备适于事。”这说的也是“世易时移，变法宜矣”的意思。

清末的维新派人士更直接地说：“穷则变，变则通，通则久；变者，古今之公理。”虽然无数的历史事实，也确实绰绰有余地证实了这道理的正确性。然而，即使这样，也仍然有人要作“刻舟求剑”式的人物，仍然要“顽固到底。”他们认为：没有规矩则无以成方圆，要破除老制度、老规矩，这如何能行？因此坚决阻挠改革。

这种人之所以会有这样的观念，恰恰是由于他们不懂得“规矩”“制度”是相对的。“老制度”只适用于老情况、老环境；而新情况、新环境是必须要“新制度”的，改革、变法正是建立新制度的有效手段。列宁说：马克思主义的最本质的东西，就在于具体的情况具体地分析。因为"没有规矩则无以成方圆"而拒绝而反对改革的人，恰恰忘了列宁的这句真理。

坚持革新则进，反对变法则退。翻开古今中外各国的历史就可以知道：凡是随历史潮流及时变法，革新的国家，都变得强大了。日本通过“明治维新”摆脱了民族危机，成为强国；俄国通过“1861年改革”也成为强国。这样的例子还很多。与此相反，凡是不及时革新的国家就被历史所遗弃，十九世纪末的中国何以灾难重重？不就是因为墨守成规，没有及时变革的缘故吗？

及时改革，可以富国，可以强兵。我们中国近十多年的改革，已足以说明这一点。十一届三中全会以来，我们的国家锐意改革，取得了巨大成就。江泽民在十四大上说：“我国经济建设上了一个大台阶，人民生活上了一个大台阶，综合围力上了一个大台阶。”之所以有这样的成绩，改革，是关键的原因。

历史证明，改革，是强国之路！实践证明，改革，是强国之路！所以说，世易时移，变法宜矣！

5、“节俭”观的淡化

一天，我拿起一只用完的牙膏壳，随口说了句："卖到废品回收站去。"谁料，女儿一把夺过扔出窗外，回我一声："小气!"这在我们儿时是绝不会发生的，而如今我一个习惯成自然的举 动，在女儿眼里，已无异于"吝啬"成性了。这不能不引起我的深思。
