mitotic entry.blt1D cells had an increased length at division,consist-
ent with a delay inmitotic entry.This phenotype was synthetic with a
temperature-sensitive cdc25ts
mutation (Supplementary Table 1),
but not with cdr1D and cdr2Dmutants,which act through Wee1 (refs
15–17).These genetic data are consistent both with the localization
hierarchy described earlier and with a pathway in which Cdr2 func-tions upstream of Cdr1 and Blt1 to promote mitosis through the
negative regulation of Wee1 (Fig.2b).
