我想楼主应该知道need 有两个句型吧，一个是to do 另一个是doing 分别表示主动与被动。
与正常被动ed 形式不同，need有自己的固定搭配。
在这里，water当做动词使用，意思为 浇水
花园需要浇水很明显应该是被动，那么就应该是watering
